When Dr. Don Pettit lived aboard the International Space Station in 2002, he became known for his “Saturday Morning Science” sessions, during which he would demonstrate really cool, simple microgravity experiments. Earlier this month, Pettit returned to space, this time as member of space shuttle Endeavour‘s crew on a mission to upgrade the outpost. After 10 days of hard work, the STS-126 crew got some time off Sunday morning and Pettit took the opportunity to film a special episode of Saturday, err, Sunday Morning Science. In his video, which he later narrated for Mission Control, Dr. Pettit demonstrated his take on a zero-gravity coffee cup… For more, see collectspace.com

Now I want to see a proper cappuchino
but why is it only the coffee & not the whole image then ?
@nonosse56 it’s a graphics glitch
you try sending a live video stream a couple thousand miles relying on wireless and satelites…
Nah, the muscles inside you force the food down. You can try eating something and then doing a head stand for a couple of hours, your food will still digest.
I would love to hang out in weightlessness for about a month…. it would be so much fun.
2:25 i’m bothered by how the coffee is out of the cup at that very moment
Looks like a fake
Pause on the image and see for yourself
sippy cup!
i wanna be an astronant
@Tetw2012 yeah maybe thier not in space
never.
I wonder how it feels to have a liquid in your mouth in the zero gravity…
i was thinking the exact same thing. wouldn’t all of his internal fluids be suspended?
@wileycsg Which would matter only in a military context, which NASA is not.
yeah almost all the walls are covered in cables and tools
It is a violation of article 108 of UCMJ to destroy govt property, don.
Is this coffee an example of capillary action?
that guy is in the sapce station, nothing fake about waht you are seeing
I did not see a cup like that dude sayd on the video. Nice bug dude but we can still pretend its a cup
@Tetw2012 probably to prevent minuscule amounts of coffee to hit electronics
so why does he have a cover on the wall WHAT IS HE HIDDING
thank you very much.
