Product Description
DeLonghi’s Drip Coffee Maker features complete frontal access feature to easily fill the water tank and ground coffee filter without moving the unit from under the counter. Open the door using the handle, pour water in the channel and put grounds in the coffee filter. Aroma button activates a unique brewing process that enhances the flavor and aroma of your coffee. To achieve this full-bodied flavor, the coffee maker advances through several continuous cycles. During the cycles, water is released into the filter basket in 30-second intervals. This special time-released process saturates grounds a little at a time to extract the best flavor and aroma from your coffee. Permanent gold-tone filter is durable, long-lasting, and specially designed to keep even the finest grounds out of your coffee. 24-hour programmable digital timer with 2 hour automatic shut-off. Also includes water level indicator, pause and serve function, cup storage tray, non-stick warming plate, and cord storage.

I loved the idea of pouring the water in the front but it only works in theory. My coffee cups are all different sizes, so I use them to accurately gauge the right amount of water and then pour the water in to the maker from the cup. The channel you pour the water in is only about 1 1/2″ wide. No matter how I pour, I miss the channel and the water goes everywhere. I even tried using a funnel once in order to get the water in the machine but that was ridiculous.
My next problem was that it has a minimum of 4 cups of coffee. Even my biggest cup only comes in at 2 1/2 on their scale. So I ended up wasting coffee/water to get up to the minimum.
So it’s on a shelf, sitting unused.

This is the best coffeemaker we have ever owned. It comes with a metal filter, but can be used with the standard paper filters. It is an attractive looking unit and reasonably priced for what it offers. The quality seems to be good.
It has a convenient pullout arm with the filter basket and a groove in which to pour the water.
A special feature is an “aroma” button that slows the brewing process, but extracts more from the grounds.
You can pull out the carafe to get a quick cup before it has stopped brewing without a drip. Nice.

We just got this coffeemaker and tried the Aroma on the first day and off the second day. The coffee takes longer to perk but well worth the wait(about 20 minutes). The taste is so much better. We like this product and the front load feature.

Got this coffee maker a few days ago. Makes a Great Cup of coffee. The timer could be a little bit easier to use but it is functional. The coffee is nice and hot. The pull out front access was not an issue for my use. The design is real immpresive. Love the permanent filter. Don’t have to worry about ever running out of the paper ones. Very satisfied!!!

The reason I am very satisfied with this coffeemaker is that I can pour water into the reservoir without moving the machine. Just swing open the funnel-like door and pour water into it. It is very convenient and also will save the rubber shoes under the coffeemaker from wearing out when sliding the machine back and forth into place, which you have to do with other machines that have the fliptop reservoir. I also like the ‘Aroma’ selection that makes the coffee brew slower and tastier. Overall, I am very satisfied with this coffeemaker.
